A packing app, built by someone who kept forgetting things.
Packd is a small, independent app made in the Netherlands. No venture funding, no growth team, no roadmap dictated by investors — just a tool built to fix a real problem, then kept simple.
Every trip used to start the same way: half a list on a Post-it, half in my head, and half in a group chat with my partner. Between a toddler, a dog, and a self-built camper, there was always something left behind — once it was the gas regulator, more than once it was the baby monitor.
I tried the existing packing apps. They all assumed the same thing: that you'd never take the same trip twice. They were built for the once-a-year holiday, where you make a list, tick it off, and throw it away. But our life isn't like that. We take the same kinds of trips over and over — a weekend in the camper, a stay at grandma's, a festival in the summer.
“We don't pack once. We pack the same trip, again and again.”
So I built Packd around one idea: a list you reset, not delete. Pack the trip, tick everything off, then hit reset and it's ready for next time. Share it with the people coming along so the thinking work is done once, not re-argued in the driveway.
It's intentionally small. No accounts, no tracking, no ads — your lists live in your own iCloud, not on a server I control. I'd rather make one thing work really well than ten things work badly.
— Made in the Netherlands, for trips we take more than once.
